Our School Network: Following us around the world

German Diese Seite ist auf Deutsch nicht verfügbar.

Anne and Jeff Posner of Joyful, taking part in the Blue Planet Odyssey, have made links with schools in their home towns like the rest of the fleet. Students and teachers alike are following the boats as they make their way around the world. If you are a teacher or know a class or group of young people who would like to join our network, do get in touch.

Jeff and Anne write:

As you know, Joyful has two schools who are signed up to be in the Sail the Odyssey program, Round Hill Elementary School in Round Hill, Virginia, and the Good Shepherd Academy in Theodore, Alabama. They are both extremely enthusiastic about the BPO and the Sail the Odyssey program, and are thankful to be included in all ways.

Ms. Melissa (Missy) Gentry of the Good Shepherd Academy, a Christian school in Theodore, Alabama, near Mobile, writes:

Good Shepherd Academy is a ministry of Good Shepherd Church. Our school began in 1976. It was started by our pastor and his wife, Brother Bill and Mrs. Cindy Thompson. As residents of the Gulf Coast we are always learning the importance of a balanced eco-system. We are excited to learn about how the bodies of water work together and how many lives are affected by changes. What a wonderful journey we will go on with you! Thank you for inviting us to participate, we can’t wait to get started!
