All five Barbados 50 yachts left Marina das Nacoes in Lisbon at high tide this morning and proceeded down the River Tagus at the start of the leg to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
The forecast is for consistent northerly winds which will give them a good start on the 700 miles long passage. A more detailed report will be posted later.
