Escuela de Pesca (Arrecife Marine School), Lanzarote

This marine school and residency, based just opposite the marina offers both practical and academic support to the Odyssey. Respectful of Jimmy Cornell’s achievements, Odyssey participant families are welcome to attend the free Planetarium evenings and visit this host venue for many other activities.

The Port Authority for the Canarian province of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, responsible for port activities in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria is an enthusiastic supporter of the event.

Marina Mindelo (Cape Verde)

Located in Mindelo on the island of Sao Vicente, this first marina of Cape Verde is a haven for yachtsmen offering a sheltered position with plenty of on-site services. Constructed just in front of the old town of Mindelo, the capital of Sao Vicente, the Marina is able to host more than 120 boats, with up to 40m length and 4.5m draft.

The Tourism Office of le Marin is responsible for the tourist promotion of the city of Le Marin in Martinique, in particular its important nautical activity.

Marina du Port du Marin, Martinique (Marina of Port du Marin )

The marina of Port du Marin is the biggest boating center of the Caribbean today. It has 750 berths alongside the quay and 100 mooring buoys, and all the services needed by cruising sailors.

Shelter Bay Marina (Panama)

The Blue Planet Odyssey and Pacific Odyssey yachts were based on the Caribbean side of the Canal in Shelter Bay Marina, before completing their transit of the Canal.

The marina is located only 70 miles from the San Blas Islands, and is a convenient base to wait for a transit with full services including 100 ton travel lift haul out, onsite chandlery and 24 hour security.
