This well researched and highly enjoyable book is a record of the enduring success of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers.

Since its launch in 1986, this annual transatlantic rally from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean has established the ARC as one of the most successful sailing events in the world.

The ARC format has inspired the first round the world rally, with World ARC now also an annual event.

An estimated 7,000 boats have sailed in the ARC in the 33 years since its inception, with a list of all participating yachts up to 2015 being featured in the book. In recent years the capacity of the ARC has been expanded with the addition of ARC+, which starts earlier from the Canaries and makes an intermediate stop in the Cape Verde Islands.

And the story goes on, as wave upon wave of boats continue crossing the Atlantic every year in this truly unique event.
