At last the European Odyssey fleet has gathered together in Port Chantereyne in the heart of Cherbourg in magificent sunshine.
As planned, the German boats made a brief stop on the south coast of England to be able to watch the World Cup final and they did not regret it!! Bravely they resumed their voyage straight after the match without even taking time to celebrate their victory.
Saphir was the first to arrive and tie up to the pontoon reserved for the European Odyssey, followed shortly by Triton. Several of the boats had had to make a technical stop on the way and the last only arrived in Cherbourg today.
This first French stopover ended with a wine tasting, followed by the skippers briefing for the departure to Brest tomorrow.
