“What we liked best in Lisbon,” commented Martin and Rita from ‘Maisie’, “was sailing up the river Tejo with the historic skyline of Lisbon, the downtown atmosphere in the city, the overwhelming hospitality of the marina Naçoes, the science museum in the Parque das Naçoes, and perhaps most of all: the helpfulness and team-spirit within the Barbados 50 team.”

Ken Robertson of Lady Rebel also commented,  “Wonderful marina staff, welcomed us and introduced us to a fantastic city where old and new integrate beautifully.”

The five Barbados 50 boats have been making very good progress as the winds have
been consistently northerly force 4-5, and are expected to arrive in Marina Lanzarote on Monday 29th August.

Yacht Sundowner, that was delayed leaving from the UK due to technical issues, is currently in La Coruna, planning to catch up with the remainder of the fleet in Lanzarote.
