Cornell Sailing at the Paris boat show

Paris Nautic, the annual boat show held in the French capital in early December, came to an end yesterday. The thriving French nautical industry was very well represented with an impressive range of boats, both sailing and motor yachts, monohulls and multihulls, as well as a wide variety of ancillary equipment.

As in previous years, Cornell Sailing had a presence on the Garcia – Allures stand, the leading builders of aluminium yachts in the world.

Among the many visitors to the stand were several owners of the Garcia Exploration 45 yacht, an original concept of a cruising boat perfectly suited for both high latitudes and tropical sailing.

Jimmy Cornell had successfully completed a transit of the Northwest Passage on Aventura IV in 2015 and many current or would-be owners took the opportunity to talk to Jimmy about their own future plans, or buy his latest books.

Although Cornell Sailing has ceased organising transatlantic rallies earlier this year, the island of Tenerife, which was the starting point of several such rallies in recent years, continues to support our activities including our presence at Paris Nautic.

Our next presence will be at the Düsseldorf show between 18 and 27 January.
