At 0830 promptly this morning three of the Barbados 50 yachts slipped their lines at Port Pendennis Marina in Falmouth and headed out of the protected natural harbour, bound for La Coruna in Spain. Joining Maisie, which had begun the rally in London, were British yachts, Stormbreaker, a Dufour 485 sailed by Peter and Sarah Shaw, and Lady Rebel, an Irwin 52 sailed by Ken Robertson and Jenny Thomas. Sundowner, which also made the London start, had stopped en route due to technical issues and will catch up with the fleet later on.

The Siegel family stopped off in Falmouth to say hello – they are also taking part in the Barbados 50 and will join the fleet in Lanzarote.
