Cocojet III has arrived safely in Le Marin in Martinique after a dramatic crossing that saw skipper Nicholas Hauzy having to be taken off the boat in the middle of the ocean after severely injuring his foot. After recuperating in the Cape Verdes, the crew continued on across the Atlantic and arrived on 22 December just over a month after leaving Lanzarote.
Cocojet III was the final yacht of the Atlantic Odyssey fleet to arrive in Le Marin, and like all the other yachts received a warm welcome from the marina staff.
This brings the 2014 edition of the Atlantic Odyssey I to a close, after a successful event marked above all by the camaraderie amongst the crews and the effort put in on both sides of the Atlantic to make the boats feel welcome.
