Following Jimmy Cornell’s successful webinar on Voyage planning in a changing world, this presentation has been posted on Youtube for you to view at your convenience.
Jimmy Cornell’s Voyage planning in a changing world focuses on safety and the essential factors that need to be taken into account when planning a voyage by sailing yacht anywhere in the world. Based on Jimmy’s best-selling books World Cruising Routes, Cornells Ocean Atlas and World Voyage Planner, the presentation draws on thorough research on the effects of climate change on offshore passages, and the absolute importance of being aware of how those changes are affecting the safety of offshore voyaging.
Divided into four parts, the presentation can be found on the @JimmyCornellVoyagePlanning Youtube channel
Part Two goes deeper into the origin and use of Pilot Charts, and explains how the data in Cornells Ocean Atlas can assist with voyage planning on the main transoceanic routes used by sailors. Having reached the Pacific Ocean via the Panama Canal, in Part Three the round the world voyage continues to the Torres Strait and the Indian Ocean. Part Four brings this round the world voyage to a successful finish, and concludes with an overview of Jimmy’s books and how they can be used for voyage planning and preparation.
