A rally for sailors bound for the South Seas. Started from Key West in Florida and Martinique in January 2015 and finished in the Marquesas.
Yachts joining the Pacific Odyssey 2015 started from Key West, Florida and headed through the Caribbean to the San Blas Islands, where they were joined by those who started from Martinique.
From San Blas the combined fleet sailed the short leg to Shelter Bay Marina, Panama, to prepare for the transit of the Panama Canal. On completion of the canal transit the boats sailed to the Galapagos Islands.
A 3000 mile long passage then took the boats to the Marquesas, with landfall at Atuona on the island of Hiva Oa.
The Pacific Odyssey 2015 was run as part of the Blue Planet Odyssey, a round the world event aimed at raising awareness of the effects of climate change.
Following a request from several participants in the Atlantic and Islands Odyssey, we have decided to organize a Pacific Odyssey in 2016, as long as we have a minimum of 10 paid-up boats.
