{"id":46731,"date":"2017-03-02T14:08:27","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T14:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/fr\/2017\/03\/aventura-on-her-way-north\/"},"modified":"2017-03-02T15:27:37","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T15:27:37","slug":"aventura-on-her-way-north","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/fr\/2017\/03\/aventura-on-her-way-north\/","title":{"rendered":"Aventura on her way north"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Aventura-NO-1.jpg\" width=\"680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After spending the best part of the winter in a small marina close to Bergen on the west coast of Norway, <a href=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/aventura\/about-aventura\/\"><em>Aventura<\/em> <\/a>is now heading for the Arctic.<\/p>\n<p>Her sale was completed last week and the new owner, Oystein Storslett, and his crew are sailing her to their base at Tromso in the north of Norway.<\/p>\n<p>Oystein\u2019s company <em>Arctic Explorers<\/em> has been running a successful operation in recent years and the purchase of <em>Aventura<\/em> will allow them to expand their range by offering charter voyages to Spitsbergen (Svalbard) starting in late June.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Aventura-NO-2.jpg\" width=\"680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The actual handover of <em>Aventura<\/em> was done in January, when we had to use a hairdryer to defrost the various lines.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Aventura-NO-3.jpg\" width=\"680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Selling every one of my previous boats had been a painful experience but none as painful as that of <em>Aventura IV<\/em>.
