We are now sailing past Baffin Island with icebergs dotted <br \/>\nabout around us, but easy to avoid.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/m_Baffin-Island.jpg\" width=\"600px\" height=\"400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\nThe coastline is spectacular and clearly visible at over 40 miles with <br \/>\nhigh snow-clad mountains and huge glaciers several miles wide disgorging <br \/>\nicebergs into the sea.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/m_sunrise-22-August-9.jpg\" width=\"600px\" height=\"400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\nThe sun has just come up and it is a brilliant morning.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/m_Code-Zero.jpg\" width=\"400px\" height=\"600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\nWe are close reaching at seven knots in ten knots of wind with our <br \/>\nlight-weather Code Zero sail and are bound for Nuuk the capital of <br \/>\nGreenland with 600 miles to go.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\n<p> Yesterday we finally escaped the grip of Lancaster Sound and reached the open sea.
