in the January 2018 edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seven Seas Cruising Association<\/a> Bulletin.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pic-right\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/pages\/200000Miles-Cover.jpg\" width=\"250\"><\/p>\n<p>SSCA Lifetime Commodore Jimmy Cornell\u2019s latest book is based on his extensive knowledge of offshore cruising gained from an experience that stretches over four decades.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately two thirds of the book deals with practical matters and covers all subjects of interest to anyone planning to leave on an offshore voyage.<\/p>\n<p>The other third of the book describes highlights from the author\u2019s circumnavigations as well as voyages to Antarctica, a transpacific passage from Antarctica to Alaska, or the challenges of the Northwest Passage.<\/p>\n<p>The chapters alternate between the two, with one technical chapter being followed by a cruising narrative.<\/p>\n<p>While primarily aimed at sailors who are planning or making preparations for a longer voyage, this book will also appeal to tested ocean navigators as well as weekend sailors.<\/p>\n<p>The book\u2019s attractive style, with 500 excellent photographs from the author\u2019s vast collection, should be equally appealing to dreamers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Read the complete review (PDF):<strong><br \/>\n <\/strong> <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/downloads\/200K-Review-SSCA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;200,000 Miles, A Life of Adventure&#8221;
