Australian yacht Whisper HR<\/em> was the first to make landfall in Barbados in the inaugural Islands Odyssey<\/em> rally, arriving the afternoon of Sunday 6 December after less than two weeks at sea. Having left the Cape Verdes on 24 November the yachts had made the shortest possible crossing \u00a0of 2020 nautical miles and arrived to a warm Barbadian welcome.<\/p>\n

Vetocean<\/em> was the second yacht to finish a few hours later, followed on the morning of December 7 by Blue Moon <\/em>and Nangilima.<\/em><\/p>\n

Xela<\/em> also arrived on 8 December and the rest of the fleet is due in the next few days.<\/p>\n
