It allowed us to make the acquaintance of <a href=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/about-us\/the-team\/#PascalGuiraudou\">Pascal<\/a> and Pascale, to meet <a href=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/sail-the-odyssey\/islands-odyssey\/meet-participants\/#Velvet\">Michel and H\u00e9l\u00e8ne<\/a> who will follow in our wake at the end of the year, as well as all the other great crews of different nationalities. The week of pre-start briefings was really helpful and we left feeling pretty calm.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pages\/AO2-2015-Doudou-thb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Doudou waving good bye<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It was very motivating to receive a daily position update from all the other boats with whom we could correspond via email (we were not alone in the event of a crisis).<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/abordedoudou.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_8477-640x480.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Doudou arrival in Martinique<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Most moving for all the boats was the festive welcome hosted by <a href=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/about-us\/the-team\/#KathyRoger\">Kathy and Roger<\/a>, the earliest arrivals with fog horns, the tourism office with the famous planter\u2019s punch.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/AO2-farewell-doudou.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Atlantic Odyssey 2 fleet awards the crew of DOUDOU with a package of Doudou brand toilet paper, a best-selling brand in Martinique<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After the voyage, the atmosphere on the pontoon was really super, each one recounting their best moments, and the problems with the boats (there always are some!).
