The Ua-Pou Tourism Committee, and the communities of Hakahau and Hakahetau, have organised\u00a0two ‘Sailors Days’ of activities including:<\/p>\n

10th April<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0– Welcome to the port of Hakahau with tasting of local fruits and drinking coconuts<\/p>\n – Circuit visit of the Valley with Tour Guide<\/p>\n – Discovery of the Cultural Center with Museum and demonstrations of Carving, Arts and Crafts and Local products from the Cooperative Te Oa Pohue No Ua-Pou<\/p>\n – Excursion in 4×4 to Hoihoi Beach<\/p>\n To see the famous \u201cFlower Stones\u201d, semi- precious stones that are found in only 2 places in the world, Brazil and Ua-Pou.<\/p>\n –\u00a0Beach BBQ<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 11th April<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n – Welcome at the Chief\u2019s Place of Hakahetau\u00a0by the Parents of \u00a0the Students Association<\/p>\n – Discovery of the student- initiated Marine Education Reserve with local Primary School students.<\/p>\n – Walking\/hiking around the Boucle of Poumaka<\/p>\n – Vaiea Waterfall<\/p>\n – Petanque\/Boules game with villagers<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0Followed in the evening by:<\/p>\n – Cultural dance performance at the site Te Tahuna<\/p>\n – Umu Kai: Traditional feast from the underground oven.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" An exciting program of activities has been organised for the BPO and PO sailors on the stunning Marquesan island of Ua-Pou on the 10th and 11th of April.<\/p>\n
