{"id":17958,"date":"2014-12-24T14:49:54","date_gmt":"2014-12-24T14:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/2014\/12\/last-atlantic-odyssey-boat-arrives-safely-2\/"},"modified":"2014-12-24T14:49:54","modified_gmt":"2014-12-24T14:49:54","slug":"last-atlantic-odyssey-boat-arrives-safely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/de\/2014\/12\/last-atlantic-odyssey-boat-arrives-safely\/","title":{"rendered":"Last Atlantic Odyssey Boat Arrives Safely"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cocojet III has arrived safely in Le Marin in Martinique after a dramatic crossing that saw skipper Nicholas Hauzy <a href=\"http:\/\/cornellsailing.com\/2014\/11\/emergency-medi-vac-cocojet-iii\/\">having to be taken off the boat in the middle of the ocean after severely injuring his foot.<\/a> After recuperating in the Cape Verdes, the crew continued on across the Atlantic and arrived on 22 December just over a month after leaving Lanzarote.<\/p>\n<p>Cocojet III was the final yacht of the Atlantic Odyssey fleet to arrive in Le Marin, and like all the other yachts received a warm welcome from the marina staff.<\/p>\n<p>This brings the 2014 edition of the Atlantic Odyssey I to a close, after a successful event marked above all by the camaraderie amongst the crews and the effort put in on both sides of the Atlantic to make the boats feel welcome.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of everyone at Cornell Sailing I\u2019d like to wish all the staff at Marina Lanzarote and Le Marin marina a warm Season\u2019s Greetings and best wishes for 2015.
