Yachts joining the Pacific Odyssey\u00a02015<\/em>\u00a0started from\u00a0Key West<\/strong>, Florida\u00a0and headed through the Caribbean to the San Blas Islands<\/strong>, where they were joined by those who started from Martinique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n From San Blas the combined fleet sailed the short leg to Shelter Bay Marina, Panama, to prepare for the transit of the Panama Canal<\/strong>. On completion of the canal transit the boats sailed to the Galapagos Islands.<\/p>\n A 3000 mile long passage then took\u00a0the boats to the Marquesas<\/strong>, with landfall at Atuona on the island of Hiva Oa.<\/p>\n The Pacific Odyssey<\/em> 2015 <\/em>was\u00a0run as part of the Blue Planet Odyssey<\/a>, a round the world event aimed at raising awareness of the effects of climate change.<\/p>\n Following a request from several participants in the Atlantic<\/a> and Islands Odyssey<\/a>, we have decided to organize a Pacific Odyssey in 2016<\/a>, as long as we have a minimum of 10 paid-up boats.<\/em><\/p>\n A rally for sailors bound for the South Seas.
