Damit ist es eines der bestverkauften nautischen B\u00fccher der Welt.<\/p>\n<p>Als Begr\u00fcnder der hocherfolgreichen transatlantischen Rallye <em>ARC (Atlantic Rallye for Cruisers)<\/em>, ist Jimmy Cornell der Urheber des Blauwasser-Rallye-Konzepts. Er wuchs in Brasov auf und besuchte dort das deutsche Honterus-Gymnasium. Sp\u00e4ter studierte er Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Universit\u00e4t von Bukarest. 1969 zog er mit seiner britischen Ehefrau Gwenda nach London. W\u00e4hrend seiner T\u00e4tigkeit als Reporter f\u00fcr den BBC World Service in London begann er zu segeln.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1974<\/strong> stattete Jimmy Cornell eine 36-Fu\u00df-Glasfaser-Yacht aus (<em>Trintella III, Van de Stadt-Design &#8211; <a href=\"\/de\/aventura\/previous-aventuras\/#Aventura1\"><strong>die erste Aventura<\/strong><\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>1975<\/strong> verlie\u00df er gemeinsam mit <a href=\"\/de\/authors\/gwenda-cornell\/\"><strong>Gwenda<\/strong><\/a> und den gemeinsamen Kindern (<a href=\"\/de\/authors\/doina-cornell\/\"><strong>Doina<\/strong><\/a> 7 und <a href=\"\/de\/authors\/ivan-cornell\/\"><strong>Ivan<\/strong><\/a> 5) England und begab sich auf eine <strong>sechs Jahre <\/strong> lange Weltreise, die sie in rund 70 L\u00e4nder f\u00fchrte und auf der sie 68.000 Seemeilen zur\u00fccklegten. Von dort aus segelte die <em>Aventura III<\/em> nach Alaska und British Columbia. <strong>2001<\/strong> begann Jimmy seine dritte Weltumsegelung, die er <strong>2006<\/strong> beendete.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 690px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/pages\/AventuraIII.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\"><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aventura III<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Die <a href=\"\/de\/aventura\/about-aventura\/\"><strong><em>Aventura IV<\/em><\/strong><\/a> <em>(Exploration 45, Aluminium, entworfen von Olivier Racoupeau)<\/em> Jimmy Cornells viertes Boot, folgte <strong>2014<\/strong>. Jimmy verkaufte seine Anteile am <em>World Cruising Club<\/em> <strong>1998<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Cornells ehrgeizigstes Projekt war die <em>Millennium Odyssey-Rallye<\/em> um die Welt, die im August <strong>1998<\/strong> begann.
